Seven years ago I tied 100 bucktail jigs every color of the rainbow and for me the red/yellow color worked better than all of them with red/white being the second most effective.

Very nice topic, Lance. Congratulations.
As Gustavo said, tough question. But I use the same as you.

 Rod:
- Fenwick HMX (old model), 10-25lbs, myself customized, for prop baits, jumpping minnows and jigs.
I have 3 HMX, and don't change for nothing.

- Lamiglas IM785, 10-25lb, customized for Custom by Marco.

Rods, just it.

 Reels:
- Zillion 7.1 or 7.3 (Costal).
I used Shimano Curado 201E7 in my last trip, but it was slower. It is great reel, but I prefer Zillions.

 Lures:
- Prop:
Tucunarex (Jenner Lures) = Color red/write, or black/yellow, or yellow black. Size 170, but I change the prop and screws to rip roller hardware.
RipRoller 6.25 = Color Halloween ou Firetiger. Show, but the older slim model was easier to use.
Pavo Prop (Caribe Lures) = Many color. I change split ring for model more resistent, and so change to rip roller props for better sound.

- Zaras:
Jummping Minnow = Color bone. Hooks size 3, more strong.

- Popper:
PopQueen 105 (Maria Jp) = Color yellow.

 Line:
Power Pro 65lb (red or green).

:2up:
